Fusion Wins Two Awards at the 2007 Summit Creative Awards
INDIANAPOLIS, IN. (June 13, 2007) – Fusion Alliance, a leading Midwest technology consulting firm headquartered in Indianapolis, was recognized as a silver winner in the 2007 Summit Creative Awards® competition for its creative work for the Indiana Humanities Council (IHC).
Fusion’s Interactive services division won two silver awards in the categories of Flash development and Interactive Media – Education, both for its work on the IHC’s Lincoln Log Cabin e-Learning module. The module designed by Teresa Rench, Information Architect at Fusion, is an interactive learning tool used to teach middle school students about how log cabins were built in the time of Lincoln’s childhood. Students walk through the construction process and learn about the tools used as well as interesting facts about Lincoln’s life. An interactive quiz at the end of the module tests the knowledge gained by students that have completed the module.
“We are proud to be recognized for this work,” said Amy Baker, Fusion Alliance Interactive Director. “Not only did the project allow our team to creatively use Flash technology for learning, but it also allowed us to work with an organization that is doing great things for Indiana education.”
The module was designed in conjunction with the IHC’s involvement in a national Lincoln education initiative. IHC staff along with several Indiana teachers worked with Rench in the development of the learning module.
