Fusion Named Finalist In IU's Entrepreneurial Awards of Distinction Program

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (October 23, 2006) – Fusion Alliance, a leading Midwest technology consulting firm headquartered in Indianapolis, was recognized as a finalist in a program from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business that recognizes emerging companies for their growth, innovation, spirit and social enterprise. All finalists were recognized at awards program held on Thursday, October 19. To be eligible for the awards, companies had to be founded by the 2003 fiscal year, be a public or private corporation with a proprietorship or partnership located in Indiana, and have revenues of more than $1 million.

Altogether, the companies being honored employ more than 6,000 people in Indiana and reported total revenue of $850,832,600. Fusion was recognized as a finalist in the “Innovation Award” category for its development of Comtrac, a Commodities Management System that supports the planning, procurement, scheduling, shipment tracking, quality analysis tracking, receipt and distribution, inventory and accounting for any commodity.

Additionally, Fusion was recognized for the creation of its Delivery Center, located in the Indianapolis headquarters. This center is a dedicated physical location (workstations, infrastructure, and technology support) that was built in 2005 to support Fusion customers’ application development needs. The center gives Fusion’s customers the flexibility to rapidly expand and increase their technology resources and logistics for new or refined software development efforts without incurring long-term overhead costs. This center serves as a creative laboratory for the development of new technology solutions.
